I just found this video of Anthony Crawford of “Sugarcane Jane” Performing With Dwight Yoakem on Letterman and I totally fan girled!

I’ve been following Gulf Coast natives, Sugarcane Jane, on social for a while and when I saw this I was like “whhhhhhaaaaattt.”

BTW – Saturday, February 16th they will be performing from 2-6pm at The Florabama.  Longtime Neil Young bandmate, Anthony Crawford & Savana Lee release have an amazing new album out called Southern State of Mind. It’s great an amazing listen if you love orginal southern music. I am a sucker for love stories, so of course I had to look into how these two came to be. They met in Nashville where Savana was a studio head and Anthony was on and off the road with Neil Young and Steve Winwood.

Together they have created Sugarcane Jane. With guitar, kickdrum, harmonica, bass, and two vocals, it’s an impressive amount of sound coming from just two people. If you’ve never seen them perform before, do yourself a favor. Here is a throwback Thursday video of Anthony Crawford performing with Dwight Yoakem on David Letterman.
